IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a light-based treatment designed to target a range of common skin concerns, including pigmentation, visible vascular threads, acne and signs of skin ageing. Controlled pulses of light are delivered into the skin, targeting specific structures while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected.

Depending on the concern being treated, IPL can help to reduce the appearance of pigmentation and redness, improve active acne and promote a clearer, brighter and more even-looking complexion.

Where does it treat?

IPL can be used on the face and body, including the neck, décolletage, hands and other areas affected by pigmentation, redness or sun damage. Treatment areas will depend on your individual skin concern and suitability following a clinical assessment.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is an advanced light-based treatment that uses controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light to target specific concerns within the skin. Unlike a laser, which uses a single wavelength of light, IPL delivers multiple wavelengths, allowing treatment to be tailored to different skin concerns.

The light energy is absorbed by specific targets within the skin, such as melanin within areas of pigmentation or haemoglobin within visible blood vessels. Depending on the treatment being performed, IPL can help reduce the appearance of sun damage and pigmentation, visible vascular threads and redness, as well as improve active acne and support overall skin rejuvenation.

IPL treatments are tailored to the individual following a thorough skin assessment.

A course of treatment may be recommended depending on the concern, treatment area and how your skin responds.
