MOLE, LESION CHECK & REMOVAL
I offer private mole and lesion assessments. As a registered nurse and Independent Nurse Prescriber with a PgDip in Dermatology and MASCED training, I’ll examine your skin, advise whether anything needs further investigation, and refer you on where needed.
If you’ve noticed a new mole, a change in the size, shape or colour of an existing one, or a lesion that itches, hurts or bleeds, please speak to your GP promptly. A private assessment with me is an additional option and doesn’t replace seeing your GP.
A diagnosis of skin cancer can only be confirmed by a specialist, so anything that looks suspicious will be referred on.
People with a family history of skin cancer, fair skin or a lot of sun exposure may like to have their skin checked regularly. I can advise on what’s appropriate for you
A mole check consultation provides a detailed assessment of your skin, focusing on moles, freckles, and other pigmented lesions. I will take a history of any changes you’ve noticed—such as alterations in size, shape, or colour—and examine your skin using visual inspection and, where appropriate, a dermatoscope for closer evaluation.
During the consultation, I will check for any atypical or suspicious features, discuss any concerns, and advise whether monitoring, further investigation, or referral to a specialist is required.
In addition to screening, I am also able to remove non-suspicious moles and benign lesions for cosmetic or comfort reasons, following a full clinical assessment to ensure suitability and safety.
Mole & Lesion Consultation (up to 1 hour): £100
Referral of suspicious mole/lesion to Consultant Dermatologist: £30 for the first mole, £15 per mole for any further referrals.
Mole Removal: £150 — includes a full Mole & Lesion Consultation and removal of up to 3 moles.
Additional moles are charged at £10 each.
