I can hardly believe it – Emily Self Aesthetics has officially been around for four years! What started as a dream has grown into something truly special, and I couldn’t have done it without all of your continued support. So firstly, a big thank you to each and every one of you who has trusted me with your skin over the years. 💛
New Clinic at Little Massingham Manor!
As many of you know, I opened my second clinic at Little Massingham Manor in August, and I’m settling in beautifully. It’s a gorgeous setting and I’m so excited to welcome both new and existing clients into this serene space.
To celebrate, Contours and Little Massingham Manor will be arranging a few open days/evenings – a perfect opportunity for you to pop in, say hi, explore the new clinic, and see what’s on offer. Keep an eye on my socials for the dates!
Award News!
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve been shortlisted for the BAMAN Award for Excellence and Innovation in Medical Aesthetic Nursing. 🏆 The winners will be announced at the Christmas party on 14th November, so naturally I’m already thinking about what to wear. It’ll be black (of course), and yes, I’ll probably still be rocking my trusty DMs!
New Prescribing Changes
As many of you know, I am now officially a prescriber (yay!). However, the law has recently changed and all prescriptions must now be completed face-to-face. So, if you’re due for a treatment that involves a prescription, I’ll be in touch if I need to see you beforehand.
Back to Study – Dermatology Diploma
I’m now in week five of my Dermatology Diploma with the University of South Wales. There’s a dent in the dining room chair where I sit at my laptop all day, but it’s worth it! This added training is already allowing me to offer mole and lesion checks, and soon (once I’ve completed my training in plasma pen), I’ll be able to offer removals too.
This opens the door to a range of exciting treatments – including non-surgical blepharoplasty (yes, those pesky hooded eyes can be tackled without surgery!).
BAMAN Conference & New IdeasI recently attended the BAMAN conference and, as always, came away bursting with inspiration and ideas. Sadly, the budget doesn’t always stretch as far as my ambitions, but rest assured – I’m always researching, learning, and finding ways to bring you the very best in aesthetic care.
Family Life Update
On the home front – Charles has started Year 8 and is doing really well (growing up way too fast!). We’re currently planning Ben’s 40th birthday trip, and we’re toying with Latvia, Estonia, or Finland – open to recommendations if you have any! Other than that, no more holidays booked for the year...
Christmas Bookings 🎄I should probably mention the C-word... yes, Christmas is on the horizon! My last clinic date is 20th December, and appointments are already half full. So please, please book in early, especially if a prescription is required for your treatment.
Full Face Transformations & Socials
Lastly, I’ve had some truly incredible full face transformations these last few weeks – keep an eye on my socials for some amazing before and afters. These cases are what I live for – helping you feel confident in your own skin.
Thank you all again for being part of this journey. Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning or just joined recently, I’m so grateful. Here’s to the next chapter – with more treatments, more transformations, and maybe a trip to the Baltics in between. 😄
With love,
